Caron Butler could not have been a happy camper when he learned that he and Eric Bledsoe were traded by the Los Angeles Clippers to the Phoenix Suns back in early July. At the age of 33, the forward was likely less than interested in playing for a rebuilding team. Perhaps Butler had a word with the Suns organization about being moved to a better situation, because that’s precisely what they’ve been trying to do, according to Gery Woelfel of Racine

SH Blog: Pippen avoids charges from DA, Barkley puts Sixers organization on blast
Remember when Scottie Pippen was investigated by police for allegedly assaulting a man back in June? That man’s name is Camran Shafighi, and we should all learn to be better than this money-seeking 49-year-old. Shafighi’s is suing the Chicago Bulls legend for $4 million – which is utterly ridiculous no matter how you put it – for allegedly beating him to unconsciousness for no good reason. According to him, he simply went up to Pippen, who was having dinner with his family, and
Tweet of the Day: Players Remember MLK’s Famous Speech
The dream for racial equality goes back centuries. In American history, however, its biggest moment was perhaps only decades ago. Wednesday marked the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech. [Read more…]
Evening News: 2K Sports releases first trailer for NBA 2K14; Babbitt to play overseas
Great news for gamers: 2K Sports has released its first official trailer for NBA 2K14. As anticipated, it looks awesome. Don’t just take my word for it, have a look for yourself! With LeBron James gracing a video game cover for the first time in his career, it’s fair to expect big things from the new installment of 2K. The video, which is highly LeBron-centric at the start, also cameos Dwight Howard sporting a Rockets uniform, Monta Ellis electrifying Dallas, and (most importantly)

Five Things To Watch: Chicago Bulls
After Derrick Rose shredded his ACL in the first game of the 2011-12 playoffs, Chicago Bulls management decided the injury shredded the team’s chances at competing for a title and proceeded accordingly. From the instant the front office decided to jettison useful contributors from the famed “Bench Mob” in favor of lesser, slightly cheaper approximations, the 2012-13 campaign was a bit of a throwaway season. Rose seemingly got the message and took it as an opportunity to sit out the entire season
Tweet of the Night: Jared Dudley thinks it’s difficult to start Bledsoe and Dragic together
When the Phoenix Suns traded Jared Dudley to the Los Angeles Clippers back in early July, they had one thing in mind: start over and rebuild with youth. That goal was seemingly underway, as they received the much-coveted guard Eric Bledsoe in return for the 28-year-old swingman. Bledsoe has captured the attention of plenty around the league with his untapped potential on both ends of the court over the past couple of seasons. Playing behind one of the best point guards in
SH Blog: Stern Tries to Settle New York/Brooklyn Feud
NBA commissioner David Stern has been behind, and orchestrated, much of the drama that has filled the NBA over the last several decades. Most recently we have seen his fingerprints all over the bizarre Chris Paul veto, the NBA lockout, the Tim Donaghy scandal and implementing the dress code. But now, much like a Vince McMahon WWE storyline, Stern’s role in the show has taken a twist. [Read more…]
