This improvement has allowed Dragic to use his quickness and shot making ability far more effectively, as he has been attacking early in transition offense and has been able to make good things happen almost every time down the floor.
Steadiness and swagger are a great combination, and Dragic has both, which should allow him to be a big time playoff player if Phoenix manages to put together a good team as they rebuild over the next few years.
5. Luigi Datome is the real deal.
The Italian, who recently signed with the Pistons after an excellent year for Roma in Italy, has shown in this tournament that he is the real deal.
Averaging 14 points on 41% 3PT shooting, and 5.5 rebounds while playing excellent defense, Datome has shown he can carve out a nice role as a hard-working, knock-down shooter who brings the type of toughness and passion that has long defined Detroit basketball.
He has been a big part of the Italians’ success in this campaign, and he should be an important piece to what should be a very strong team in the World Cup next summer.
