Through three weeks of the NFL regular season DraftStreet‘s mega contest has awarded nine seats to the final stage in Las Vegas. There are 31 more seats up for grabs in the coming weeks, three of them this week. For full contest details, click here. In today’s NFL at Sheridan Hoops, I briefly review the results of Week 3 action, in which my team contained far too many New York Giants to achieve anything of note. There was significant overlay in the Week 3 qualifiers and there may be for Week 4, so don’t miss out on the gift of free “money” and register.
Brandon Myers/NYG, Victor Cruz/NYG and Eli Manning/NYG all weighed down my team like anchors. Marshawn Lynch’s/SEA limited touches due to blowout conditions, not to mention missing out on two touchdowns by a cumulative 18 inches, drove the nail in the coffin.
This week’s qualifiers are priced at $22, $109, and $420 to enter, and you may enter multiple teams in each qualifier. Let’s have a look at what Week 4 might have in store for us.
Quarterbacks for Week 4
Peyton Manning/$19113/DEN is deservedly the most expensive quarterback. Not only is he a pinpoint passer and immaculate reader of defenses, but he has the best collection of offensive weapons currently existent in the NFL. He has the highest upside, as demonstrated by his seven touchdown passes in week 1, but also brings you safety and minimal risk of injury. He makes a solid anchor for your team, but probably necessitates that your other quarterback be on the inexpensive side.
Philip Rivers/$12654/SDC has arguable been the second most impressive quarterback this season, despite not having Broncos-like tools at his disposal. He goes up against a Dallas defense, ripe for exploitation. The lack of a ground game means Rivers will look to throw early and often. Other cheap options that a excellent value plays are Andy Dalton/$11662/CIN versus the Browns, and Joe Flacco/$10214/BAL against the Buffalo Bills.
If you have the cap room to spare, you might consider Drew Brees/$16317/NOS, who always seems to light up the scoreboard at home. Or Matt Ryan/$14153/ATL versus the untested New England Patriots defense.
