The Cleveland Caveliers will get their star center earlier than expected. Andrew Bynum will play in the Cavs season opener Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, reports Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal. There were question marks for the past several weeks surrounding Bynum’s return date, some speculating it would be several weeks, even months into the regular season. Bynum missed all of last season for the Philadelphia 76ers with various injuries and recovering from arthroscopic surgery he had in March on both knees. The last time he played was in the 2011-2012 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bynum averaged a career best 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds a game that season.
