Posted 03:54 PM ET
Longtime Milwaukee Bucks’ guard Michael Redd is set to announce his retirement from the NBA on Wednesday. Redd will be officially retired as a Buck during tomorrow’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team announced Tuesday. He will address the crowd at the BMO Harris Bradley Center between the first and second quarter. Redd was drafted by the Bucks with the 43rd overall selection in the 2000 NBA Draft and went on to play 11 seasons in Milwaukee, where he averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. On Nov. 11, 2006, Redd set the Bucks franchise individual game scoring record with a 57-point output vs. Utah at the Bradley Center, breaking the mark of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (55 points) that stood since Dec. 10, 1971. Redd was part of three postseason appearances with the Bucks and named as a reserve on the 2004 Eastern Conference All-Star team. He was a member of Team USA’s 12-man roster for the FIBA Americas Championships in 2007 and a member of the Gold Medal-winning Team USA squad at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
