In today’s news, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has an ankle injury, while the Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders has been spared from criminal charges, and Dennis Schroeder has been suspended by the NBA.
Stephen Curry listed day to day
The Golden State Warriors have listed guard Stephen Curry on the injury report with a left ankle bone bruise. Curry suffered a bruise on his left ankle during last night during the Warriors’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in which the Warriors won 106-93. An MRI conducted in Minnesota on Thursday morning confirmed the injury.
Curry is being listed as day to day, and it remains to be seen if the injury will cause Curry to miss any games. The Warriors next game will be Friday night away against the San Antonio Spurs.
Larry Sanders won’t face charges following investigation
Milwaukee Bucks Center Larry Sanders will not be charged for his role in an incident that occurred at a nightclub this past weekend. Sanders suffered a sore thumb and sat out the Bucks game Wednesday night as a result.
Per USA Today, the Milwaukee County attorney’s office has said that no one involved in the incident will be charged.
Sanders signed a $44 million contract extension with the Bucks during the off season. He has struggled so far this season with averages of 2.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in three games played.
Dennis Schroeder suspended one game
The Atlanta Hawks have announced rookie Dennis Schroeder has been suspended for one game for a below the belt hit on DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings. The incident occurred this past Tuesday when the Hawks defeated the Kings in Sacramento.
The suspension will be served when the Hawks face the Denver Nuggets in an away game. Schroeder was drafted 17th overall by the Atlanta Hawks. He has averaged 6.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds so far this season playing primarily off the bench.
