It was a big night for college basketball and general managers around the NBA, as Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins – two of the biggest prizes for the upcoming summer’s draft – went head to head against each other in a much anticipated contest between Kansas and Duke on Tuesday.
With expectations sky high, the two made sure no one left disappointed.
Parker scored 19 points in the first half, including this impressive dunk, to capture much of the attention and finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and four steals. It would be Wiggins, though, that took over in the second half, scoring 16 of his 22 points to go with 10 rebounds to help his team to a 94-83 victory.
Players around the league were very much tuned in on the action and had plenty of reactions about what they saw from the two young studs:
I said it once and imma say it twice. It’s a great day to b a Jayhawk. Enjoy ur night everyone. I’m out

Jabari Parker is the most skilled player in the country. Jabari (versatility) Parker. Plays “like” Melo & Paul Pierce with that size. — Jay Williams (@RealJayWilliams) November 13, 2013
I’m changing all Scandal for Randle/Riggin’ for Wiggins jokes to Sorry for Jabari.

The skill sets of these young guns remind me of noted NBA All Stars. Wiggins=TMac. Randle=DC. Parker=Melo #NCAA

I never get too hyped on upside/potential… I like skill & production, can’t deny #Parker and #Wiggins both showed all the above tonight.
