RANK | PLAYER | RUNDOWN | LAST |
1 | ERIC BLEDSOE, G, PHOENIX: Sometimes all you need is a chance. Bledsoe is getting his to be “The Guy” for the Suns and is making the most of it. Maybe his numbers are inflated by more playing time, but he’s still tripled his career average in points (20.4) and doubled his averages in assists (6.8) and rebounds (4.6). They should have extended him. | 2
2 | ANTHONY DAVIS, F, NEW ORLEANS: When he was in college, Larry Brown said any team that drafted Davis would automatically win 50 games the next season. While that may have been a little bit of an overreaction, the ‘Brow has taken the league by storm. He put up 29 and 15 in a loss at Utah on Wednesday. | 4
3 | MARKIEFF MORRIS, F, PHOENIX: Despite a very un-improved two games in which he combined for 12 points on 4-of-17 shooting, Morris hangs on to the No. 3 spot. He’s still averaging 14 points and 6 boards per game. Plus, those 16-by-18 fatheads I bought my grandma were non-refundable. | 1
4 | MILES PLUMLEE, C, PHOENIX: Miles got on with his improved self with another solid week, including a double-double in a buzzer loss at Portland. He’s averaging 10 points and 9.3 boards. Plumlee was so irrelevant with the Pacers last season that it’s going to be hard to keep him off this list. | 5
5 | SPENCER HAWES, C, PHILADELPHIA: We had to give props to Hawes, who has posted double-digit rebounding totals in seven games this season. He’s also shown an incredible improvement in his 3-point shot. Hawes has knocked down a triple in every game this season and is shooting 47 percent from the arc. |

NEXT FIVE: Lance Stephenson, G, Indiana; Evan Turner, G, Philadelphia; Tony Wroten, G, Philadelphia; Reggie Jackson, G, Oklahoma City; Jeffrey Taylor, F, Charlotte.
