Jermaine O’Neal spot-started on Tuesday for the suspended Andrew Bogut and turned back the clock with 18 points on nine-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds to help secure a tough road win against the New Orleans Pelicans. After the game, he provided one of the most emotional and insightful post-game interviews ever after a regular season game:
OTHER NEWS FROM AROUND THE LEAGUE:
- Anderson Varejao doesn’t like how LeBron James left the Cavaliers, but still believes the forward could come back, according to Jason Lloyd of the Beacon Journal: “It could happen,” Varejao said. “Bron is from Akron. Akron is not too far from here. Eventually in his career, he probably wants to play at home.” And then unprovoked, the normally quiet Varejao said he didn’t like the way James left the Cavs via the one-hour television special. “Going back to that, I think the way he left was wrong,” Varejao said. “But regardless … He helped me a lot, helped my game and helped me as a person. I have nothing against him. It could happen.”
- Bradley Beal explains why he is sitting out for a while, from Michael Lee of Washington Post: “Kind of just popped up out of nowhere,” Beal said. “It’s been lingering for a week. I thought it was just calf soreness. Then it kind of escalated a little bit more.”… “I’m pretty sure I could probably play, I could probably duke it out,” Beal said, “but I did that last year and it didn’t work out too well. So, I’m just going to play it smart this year. And take care of it and just try to get rid of it early and hopefully, it will be gone once and for all.”
- Andrei Kirilenko was critical of the Brooklyn Nets’ execution on offense in a Russian interview, from Net Income: “We don’t get enough easy points,” said Kirilenko, who has played just four games this season due to back spasms. “The team’s fighting, the team’s trying, but something is not right in basketball terms.”… The weakness, he tells Nadia Perepechko of R-Sport, is that Brooklyn plays “a lot of combinations so that a guy can shoot,” he said. “We get free throws, but we’re not concentrating much on scoring from under the hoop, after fouls, on quick breaks.” “We’re not trying to get inside and get points there.” he said of the paint. The interview took place Wednesday reports R-Sport, which translated his comments from the Russian.”
- Mark Murphy of Boston Herald has the latest update on Rajon Rondo: “Rajon Rondo, a fixture for every team moment this season, from practices to games, missed yesterday’s practice to honor a doctor’s appointment as he continues to recover from ACL surgery. According to a source, the Celtics point guard will also meet with his knee surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, somewhere between Dec. 7-10 in Pensacola, Fla. Rondo still needs clearance to take part in full practices. The Celtics are as quiet as ever about a Rondo timetable. “Even if it’s 100 percent, there aren’t other bodies on the floor,” coach Brad Stevens said of Rondo’s level of activity. “He’s been playing a little bit of one-on-one before games, but I haven’t seen a lot that would say he’s close to ready. I haven’t seen a timeline, or heard about anything in the near future.”

My last pay check was $8500 working 10 hours a week online. My younger brother friend has been averaging 12k for months now and he works about 22 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do,…………..

Waiters was absolutely right. Irving and Jack see more floor time that Waiters does, and Waiters is the best guard they have at getting into the lane and making things happen. Irving is a turnover-prone chucker, and Jack has regressed since earning that fat payday. Brown doesn’t know what he’s doing with these young guys. I hope Dion gets traded, cause the guy deserves to be in a better situation.
