It was a bit of a surprise to see Kevin Durant/OKC active last night, given that his teammates could have handled the Sixers without him. He didn’t explode for major buckets, but instead went the stat omnivore route. In Toronto, it looked for a time that the top two Raptors were going down to injury, but Kyle Lowry/TOR played the game out without incident after knocking knees with Blake Griffin/LAC.. DeMar DeRozan’s/TOR fall looked worse and he had to abandon the floor in the second half. Elsewhere, the Rockets were embarrassed by the Grizzlies and the Pacers couldn’t dig themselves out of a 19-point first half deficit in Denver A busy Sunday is upon us. Here is today’s Fantasy Spin.
Fantasy Boom and Bust
TOP GUNS:
Kevin Durant/OKC. Durant looked fine and contributed in all facets of the game. He is truly past his ball hog days. 12 of 17 FGA, 7 of 7 FTA, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 3 TO, 32 points.
Terrence Ross/TOR. What?
Jamal Crawford/LAC. The Clippers’ acquisition of Crawford could be the trade of the year.
Al Jefferson/CHA. Not even a solid center like Joakim Noah/CHI could slow big Al down.
Serge Ibaka/OKC. Proving to be the quality big man the Thunder need if they are to win it all in the next few years.
SLEEPERS:
Terrence Ross/TOR. He may have to step into a bigger role, as the Raptors deal with the DeMar DeRozan/TOR injury. 16 of 29 FGA, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 3 TO, 51 points.
Jamal Crawford/LAC.
Kevin Martin/MIN. He hasn’t had many great shooting nights like this since early in the season.
DISAPPOINTMENTS:
Larry Sanders/MIL. Simply horrible – Sanders encapsulates why the Bucks are the running away with the underachievers of the year award.0 of 5 FGA, 1 of 2 FTA, 4 rebounds, 2 TO, 1 point, 20+ minutes.
LaMarcus Aldridge/POR. The Wolves were determined to stop him and they did a good job (but still lost).
Roy Hibbert/IND. He couldn’t deal with the quickness of the Denver big men and constant foul trouble torpedoed his production.
Reggie Jackson/OKC. Wasn’t needed.
