Kevin Durant continued his fantasy NBA dominance with another great game, leading the Thunder to a narrow win over the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Joakim Noah/CHI was a late scratch and the Timberwolves took advantage on the strength of a solid bounce back game from Kevin Love/MIN. The Raptors earned the road win in the battle for the Atlantic with a bucket a steal and a bucket to win 104-103. There are plenty of DraftStreet contests and qualifiers as we draw closer to next week’s Big NBA 150K. Here is today’s Fantasy Spin.
Fantasy Boom and Bust
TOP GUNS:
Kevin Durant/OKC. My main concern for him is how his minutes per game workload will affect him come playoff time. 15 of 25 FGA, 6 of 8 FTA, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks, 4 TO, 41 points.
Kyle Lowry/TOR. It’s a good sign for the Raptors that Lowry stepped up to cover the loss of DeMar DeRozan/TOR.
Paul Pierce/BKN, Carlos Boozer/CHI, Kevin Love/MIN, Gerald Green/PNX, Goran Dragic/PNX.
SLEEPERS:
Willie Green/LAC. 5 of 6 FGA, 2 of 2 FTA, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 0 TO, 13 points.
Jason Thompson/SAC. Without the Kings’ “big 2”, Thompson has taken a more active role.
Derrick Williams/SAC, Ronny Turiaf/MIN
DISAPPOINTMENTS:
Nikola Pekovic/MIN. Felled by an Achilles injury after playing six minutes. 0 of 1 FGA, 1 of 2 FTA, 1 rebound, 1 TO, 1 point.
Mirza Teletovic/BKN. Because he comes off the bench and his strength is three point shooting, he will remain a wildly inconsistent fantasy option.
Isaiah Thomas/SAC. His first poor game in weeks.
