It was another night in which dozens of players had great games, making for very high scores in DraftStreet contests. When that happens, the stakes are raised: if any one of your players stumbles, it will cost you. One of my lineups last night hit on seven of eight spots, the lone disappointment being Jeff Green/BOS. It was enough to push me out of the top 10 and into 43rd place out of 2,750 runners in the $2 GPP. Several cheap players had monster games, most notably George Hill/IND. Hill is normally a steady producer but he handled the rock and had a career game while Lance Stephenson/IND sat out. There is plenty of action and opportunity to win cash at DraftStreet tonight. Here is today’s Fantasy Spin.
Fantasy Boom and Bust
TOP GUNS:
George Hill/IND. I mentioned yesterday that the absence of Lance Stephenson/IND would open up touches to other players, including Hill.
DeMar DeRozan/TOR. With Kyle Lowry/TOR still a bit less than fully fit, DeRozan has taken on even more offensive responsibility.
John Wall/WAS. Even though the Wizards unexpectedly lost, Wall was fantasy money in the bank.
Damian Lillard/POR, Blake Griffin/LAC, Jared Sullinger/BOS, Josh Smith/DET.
SLEEPERS:
Gerald Wallace/BOS. Celtics do well on these lists, but you never know from game to game who will get the big minutes off the bench.
David West/IND. Was an effective sidekick to Hill/IND.
Jason Terry/BKN, Chris Kaman/LAL, Wes Johnson/LAL.
DISAPPOINTMENTS:
Anderson Varejao/CLE. Wasn’t the right opposition for him to have a big game from him.
Kris Humphries/BOS. Didn’t start, even though Sacramento’s center is their main man.
Shaun Livingston/BKN, J.J. Hickson/DEN, Deron WIlliams/BKN..
