The Miami Heat announced themselves “top dog”, as they led wire to wire against Western powerhouse Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant/OKC was shut down in the first quarter, and LeBron James/MIA, ably assisted by Dwayne Wade/MIA got the Heat the lead they would never relinquish. In a relatively low-scoring game, the Warriors beat the visiting Rockets in overtime, led by their dynamic duo David Lee/GSW and Stephen Curry/GSW. Tonight, the post-trade deadline phase of the regulation gets fully underway. Here is today’s Fantasy Spin.
Fantasy Boom and Bust
TOP GUNS:
Dwayne Wade/MIA. Perhaps his best game of the year. Who can beat the Heat when the Big Three are playing well?
James Harden/HOU. Back to back stellar games.
Chris Bosh/MIA, LeBron James/MIA, Dwight Howard/HOU, David Lee/GSW.
SLEEPERS:
Giannis Antetokounmpo/MIA. I still can’t spell his name from memory. With a trade and injuries freeing up playing time, expect G.A. to get major minutes the rest of the season.
Timofey Mozgov/DEN. Good enough to be the starting center on a lot of teams.
DISAPPOINTMENTS:
Terrance Jones/HOU. Perhaps he is carrying a minor injury, but Jones isn’t as actively involved in the Rockets’ scheme as he was a month ago.
Khris Middleton/MIL, Kevin Durant/OKC.
