Shaq Fu game returns with a crowdfunding campaign: “This time we won’t FU it up!” http://t.co/D5drjrqTBM pic.twitter.com/2NKt0VKE8a — GameSpot (@gamespot) March 7, 2014
That’s right. Shaq Fu is seeking funding from fans, utilizing popular crowdsourcing website, IndieGoGo. The question many are asking is…why?
According to the game’s developers, “The purpose of bringing the game to the public is to see how much interest there is in becoming Shaq’s partner and in seeing the game happen.”
Still, Shaq is said to be investing a significant amount of money of his own accord—which makes sense, because $450,000 is not nearly enough to make a game with graphics and gameplay worthy of selling for $30 upon release.
The mention of a sequel for Shaq Fu does not come without its share of sarcastic—and comical—cynicism.
You can help fund the Shaq Fu 2 video game! It sounds awesome! PS: Why did he beat people up in the first game again? pic.twitter.com/JpOIvoZ1Mn — @midnight (@midnight) March 6, 2014
Oh cool, Shaq needs $450,000. *reaches for wallet* — netw3rk (@netw3rk) March 6, 2014
Even so, we at Sheridan Hoops wish Shaq a wonderful 42nd birthday and a much improved Shaq Fu video game.

The “Big Galactus” is such an apt nickname! Does that make Kobe/Penny/DWade the “Silver Surfer”?

I do not want the imagery of Kobe/Penny/Wade as Silver Surfer in my head… SMH
