With the year nearly over, the playoffs (for some) and the offseason (for others) lay ahead.
It has been an amusing, if not completely entertaining, year—full of ups and downs, and certainly a lot of twists and turns. How many people expected Cleveland, Detroit and New York to miss the playoffs (on paper) before the year began? How many foresaw Jeff Hornacek or Jason Kidd proving to be good first year coaches? Who thought Blake Griffin would likely be third in MVP voting in lieu of Paul George before October 29th? Did anyone expect Toronto to be the third seed in the East?
If the season has been this entertaining, we can only hope that the playoffs will be equally so.
