Sager is not the only sports reporter fighting Cancer. ESPN’s Stuart Scott has been waging an ongoing battle with cancer. Scott gave the Sagers some words of encouragement.

The special that Sager Jr. mentioned aired Friday afternoon on ESPN and featured ABC’s Good Morning America host Robin Roberts, who has also battled cancer.

We all wish Sager the very best and offer our thoughts and prayers to him and his family. The NBA Playoffs will not be the same without him stalking the sidelines. As Reggie Miller mentioned, Gregg Popovich can attest to that fact.
