NEW YORK – Four ties among teams that finished the 2013-14 NBA regular season with identical records were broken Friday through random drawings to help determine the order of selection for the 2014 NBA Draft, which will be held on Thursday, June 26.
The drawings were conducted by Jason Cahilly, NBA Chief Strategic and Financial Officer, and Dan Rube, NBA Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. The tiebreak process was overseen by Darrington Hobson, a representative from the accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
The results of the drawings:
_Utah (25-57) won a tiebreaker with Boston.
_Brooklyn (44-38) won a tiebreaker with Washington.
_Chicago (48-34) won a tiebreaker with Toronto.
_Portland (54-28) won a tiebreaker with Miami and Houston; Houston then won a tie-breaker with Miami.
Below is the order of selection for the 2014 NBA Draft, as well as the number of chances for teams in the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery, to be held on Tuesday, May 20.
