Believe it or not, more happened in the association than just the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
The 2014 Playoffs continued on Tuesday, May 20 with the return of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Indiana Pacers entered the day with a 1-0 advantage over the defending champion Miami Heat, and unlike Game 1, Game 2 came down to the wire.
Here’s everything that you need to know about last night’s action.
1. Dwyane Wade led the way with 23 points and LeBron James scored 22, including 12 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Miami Heat past the Indiana Pacers 87-83. Lance Stephenson scored a game-high 25 points for the Pacers, but Paul George and David West combined to shoot 9-of-32 from the field as Indiana fell apart late.
The Heat head home with a road split and the series tied at 1-1.
2. Miami has won 11 consecutive games following a postseason loss.
3. The Heat’s win snapped a five-game road losing streak to the Pacers.
4. Roy Hibbert finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds. It’s his first double-digit rebounding performance of the entire postseason.
5. Chris Bosh finished with nine points. He’s failed to score in double-figures in six consecutive playoff games against the Pacers.
Bonus Fact: The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the No. 1 overall draft choice in three of the past four years. The previous two picks were spent on Anthony Bennett and Kyrie Irving.
