The 2014 NBA Playoffs resumed on Saturday, May 24 with the Eastern Conference Finals taking center stage. The defending champion Miami Heat returned to the AmericanAirlines Arena to battle the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 with the series tied at 1-1.
Here’s everything that you need to know about last night’s action.
1. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen took over as the Miami Heat overcame a dreadful first quarter for a 99-87 victory over the Indiana Pacers. LeBron put up 26 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals. D-Wade scored 23 points and Allen shot a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc with 13 points in the fourth quarter alone.
Miami secured a 2-1 series lead.
2. This is the first time during the 2014 NBA Playoffs that Indiana has lost consecutive games.
3. Allen, James and Wade combined for 47 second-half points. Indiana scored 45 as a team during the second half.
4. Chris Bosh scored nine points on 4-of-12 shooting. Bosh has failed to put up at least 10 points in seven consecutive playoff games against the Pacers.
5. D-Wade has scored at least 20 points in four straight postseason games for the first time since the 2012 NBA Finals.
Bonus Fact: The Pacers are 1-8 all-time in best-of-7 series when trailing 2-1.
