BREAKING NEWS: The NBA has agreed with Sterling Family Trust to move forward with sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
Considering Donald Sterling’s history, compounded by his present condition—having been diagnosed with dementia and alzheimer’s, it seems as though the ongoing debacle that has been the Clippers’ ownership and subsequent sale may soon be coming to an end.
Due to his mental condition, neurologists declared him mentally incapacitated and, thusly, unfit to control the Sterling Family Trust. In turn, Shelly Sterling gained legal control and was able to orchestrate the sale of the team, which Ballmer has agreed to purchase for $2 billion.
The NBA, as stated above and shown in the press release to the right, has agreed to this resolution and will move forward with the sale, which needs to be approved by the Board of Governors.
In other news Friday, Sterling’s lawyer, Max Blecher, has announced that his client will file a $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA for forcing him to sell his team. Given his legal history, and his penchant for salacious affairs, the internet has taken kindly (for comical reasons) to the idea of seeing him in court.
Among the best tweets to hit the internet regarding this development, ESPN the Magazine senior writer and frequent Around the Horn panelist Pablo Torre kicks things off with a great Sterling/R. Kelly crossover.
We inch ever closer to a scenario where Don Sterling’s mind is allegedly telling him no, but his body, his body’s allegedly telling him yes

SB Nation followed things up by posting a transcription from an August, 2004 sexual harassment lawsuit deposition in which Sterling, when asked to identify his handwriting, casually drifted off into a soliloquy about his sexual forays in limousines.
