I think FIFA should change the rule of subs to allow to sub all 11 players just for games like that…to protect the injury for the finals!! — Beno Udrih (@BenoUdrih1) July 8, 2014

Congrats to Germany but really sad that Klose broke the All Time record, much respect he is a great player but Ronaldo was my guy. #Ronaldo — More Champagne (@EvanFourmizz) July 8, 201

With his goal in the 23rd minute, The Eagles’ forward Miroslav Klose broke the record for most career World Cup goals with 16, surpassing Brazilian legend Ronaldo Lima, who set the record of 15 in the 2006 World Cup.
While some, like Evan Fournier, are saddened to see Ronaldo’s record fall, they will need to get over it soon. Barring sustained longterm good health, German forward Thomas Müller 10 goals has 10 goals already … IN ONLY TWO WORLD CUP APPEARANCES!!
He still has one game left in this year’s cup to move that much closer to both Ronaldo and Klose. Truly astounding. Though, not as amazing as Gerd Müller (14 goals in two World Cups: 1970, 1974) or Just Fontaine (1958).
It will be interesting to see how much closer Müller can get to the record before he hangs up his cleats.
