In a week marred by negative and downright disturbing press via the sports world, no story has hit the NBA community quite as hard as the one coming out of Atlanta. Hawks owner Bruce Levenson and general manager Danny Ferry made separate controversial comments that have been labeled as racist and/or racially insensitive. Not to downplay the seriousness of the situation the Atlanta Hawks are facing, with both GM Danny Ferry and owner Bruce Levenson in hot water for racially charged, if not completely insensitive and racist, remarks. Free agent guard Leandro Barbosa officially signed with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday to play a backup role behind Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Barbosa, who was just eliminated from the FIBA tournament after suffering a 84-56 loss against Serbia, will look to provide a much-needed scoring punch off the bench for the Warriors as he has done throughout his career.
