Week 2 of the 2014-15 NBA season came to a close this past weekend, and with it come two new names as the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week.
Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams was selected player of the week in the East and he expressed his gratitude for the honor on Twitter.
I’m honored to be selected as ECF player of the week wouldn’t have been able to do it without my teams #Bknets

The NBA announced the selection of Williams along with the Western Conference POTW, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, early Monday afternoon in a press release.
Williams led Brooklyn to a 3-1 week that included wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks. He averaged 20.8 points (eighth in the conference) on .569 shooting from the field (seventh in the conference) and added 7.0 assists (tied for fourth in the conference). …
“The Warriors posted a 2-1 week behind Curry, who along with the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant paced the league in scoring at 30.0 ppg. Curry’s 3.33 steals were also tops on the week, and his 7.3 assists were good for fifth in the Western Conference.”
The NBA and both players’ teams also made the announcement on Twitter.

Its about Health, Health and more Health for DWill and Brooklyn Nets.
For Deron Williams, it was always about the ankle surgery to remove debris and bone spurs (about 2 years too late).
Its another reason Nets let Paul Pierce walk.
