The 2014-15 NBA regular season continued on Wednesday, November 12 with 18 teams taking part in nine games. There were immediate fireworks, with scoring eruptions and stat-sheet stuffing in every single outing.
Some games were more lopsided than others, with massive advantages both on the scoreboard and off of it. Others included memorable duels between big-name playmakers and under-the-radar breakout stars.
Here’s everything that you need to know about last night’s action.
1. Anthony Davis took over with 25 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks and a steal to lead the New Orleans Pelicans past the Los Angeles Lakers 109-102. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points for the Lakers, while Tyreke Evans had 19 points, 11 assists and five rebounds for the Pelicans.
Evans has a double-double with at least 10 assists in consecutive games for the first time since December 27, 2013.
2. Since his rookie season, Davis has five games with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Tim Duncan is the only other player in the NBA with more than one.
Duncan has two—less than half as many as Davis.
3. Damian Lillard had 27 points and nine assists in just 30 minutes to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a massive 130-113 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Ty Lawson scored a season-high 32 points, but it wasn’t enough for Denver to overcome the Trail Blazers.
Portland scored 84 points in the first half—the most by any team since the Golden State Warriors on March 25, 2011.
4. Anthony Morrow and Reggie Jackson both put up 28 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder get past the Boston Celtics 109-94. Rajon Rondo countered with 20 points, 12 assists, nine rebounds and two steals on 4-of-7 shooting from distance, but Boston ultimately fell at home.
Outside of Rondo, Boston shot just 5-of-26 from beyond the arc.
5. Brandon Jennings and John Wall dueled as the Washington Wizards outlasted the Detroit Pistons 107-103. Jennings finished with season-high marks of 32 points and 10 assists, while John Wall had 27 points and 11 dimes.
At 6-2, Washington is off to its best start since 1975-76.

9. Gerald Green scored 28 points and Isaiah Thomas finished with 21 to help the Phoenix Suns earn a bench-led 112-104 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Goran Dragic added 18 points, but it was the bench that shined for Phoenix with 60 points and 23 free throws made.
Kevin Garnett recorded his second double-double of 2014-15. He had three in all of 2013-14.
10. Dwight Howard and James Harden led the charge as the Houston Rockets pick up a 113-101 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Howard finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, while Harden had 23 points, 10 assists and three steals.
