Photo of the Day: NBA Reveals 2014 Christmas Day Jerseys

The NBA has an obsession with jerseys, let’s be honest. You have the sleeved jerseys, newly designed and alternate uniforms, and of course, the Christmas Day unis.

Last Christmas, the jerseys had the short sleeve feature, with the franchise logo right in the center on the front and nothing else. The player’s name and number were featured on only the back. This year’s uniforms include a number of changes, including a first-ever feature.

The New York Knicks posted a photo of their holiday jersey to their official Twitter on Friday.

As you can see, they went back to the traditional tank-top style jersey rather than the short sleeves. The jersey will showcase either the primary or secondary team logo on the front, now with a number beneath it.

The new and unique addition to this year’s jerseys are on the back. This is a photo taken from the Washington Wizards official Twitter.

The uniforms will include each player’s first name on the back of them, with the names being placed under their number.

These are the teams who will be wearing the jerseys on Christmas:

Starting at noon ET, the Washington Wizards visit the New York Knicks on ESPN, followed by the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder at 2:30 p.m. ET and the Miami Heat welcoming LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to Miami at 5:00 p.m. ET, which will both air on ABC.

The evening games on ESPN feature the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Chicago Bulls in Chicago at 8 p.m. ET, and finishing off the Christmas Day lineup with the Los Angeles Clippers hosting the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 p.m.

I know exactly what I’ll be doing all day.
