Thursday night features a national TV doubleheader. Plenty of points should be scored in a pair of very interesting games that illustrate how the daily fantasy hoops challenge is never the same twice. There were almost too many bargains to choose from last night, definitely not enough tonight. [Read more…]

Photo of the Day: Mitch McGary the Snake Charmer
The Oklahoma City Thunder are hoping to find some secrets to keeping their players healthy. Already missing superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Perry Jones III left last night’s game against the Raptors with a knee injury. On top of them, Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb and Andre Roberson are all out with injuries. When Jones III went down yesterday, the Thunder were down to only seven healthy players that dressed and were able to play. [Read more…]
Tweet of the Day: Wizards’ Martell Webster Preparing for Life After Basketball
Washington Wizards shooting guard Martell Webster is currently rehabbing from back surgery to correct a herniated disc in his lower back. Though he had a successful microdisectomy at the end of June, he likely will not return to action for at least another month. Webster, 27, as recently as an October article in the Washington Post, has made it clear that he does not intend to play beyond his current contract I know this game is probably not going to be the
J.R. Smith suspended one game for striking Glen Rice Jr. in the groin
Add this to the list of J.R. Smith suspensions. The New York Knicks guard was suspended one game by the league for “striking” the groin of Washington Wizards reserve forward Glen Rice Jr. on Tuesday night. He will miss Wednesday night’s game against Detroit. Rice Jr. was actually called for the foul on the play, but the Wizards ended up winning the game 98-83. The league may have deemed Smith’s transgression an intentional one based on his notorious track record Smith was suspended

The lineup I recommended in yesterday’s Spin paid off in six contests: $73.50 in cash and a free $27 ticket to the huge event tonight! [Read more…]
Eisenberg: Is Anthony Davis Better Than Kevin Garnett? Through Two Seasons, Yes
Kevin Garnett was the 2004 NBA MVP. He was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. He has been an All-Star 15 times. Garnett is an NBA champion, a surefire Hall of Famer and will probably go down as one of the top 25 players in NBA history. It would be unfair to place those sorts of career expectations on a 21-year-old, right? Not necessarily. If the 21-year-old in question is Anthony Davis, anything is fair game. If Davis’ first two seasons suggest
Tweet of the Night: Kenny Smith preaches patience with Cleveland Cavaliers
Much like the first time LeBron James formed a trio in Miami, the new Big 3 in Cleveland are struggling in the early going. Expected to be one of the top two teams in the East, the Cavs have struggled out of the gates, losing to the New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and barely edging out a win against a shorthanded Chicago Bulls team in overtime. The defense has been suspect, but the bigger surprise is their lack of continuity on
