The 2014-15 NBA regular season continued on Thursday, December 4. There were just three games featuring six teams, but two of those outings were decided by single-digits.
Here’s how it all transpired.
1. Three separate players registered double-doubles to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 112-85 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. Stephen Curry posted 19 points and 11 assists, Harrison Barnes tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Draymond Green put up 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors, while Anthony Davis posted 30 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals on 14-of-19 shooting for New Orleans.
Curry’s 11 assists set a new season-high.
2. Golden State tied a franchise record with its 11th consecutive win.
3. Kyrie Irving scored a season-high 37 points and LeBron James dished out 12 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the New York Knicks 90-87. Amar’e Stoudemire posted 18 points and nine assists, but Carmelo Anthony had nine points on 4-of-19 shooting as the Knicks fell short once again.
Cleveland has won a season-best five straight games.
4. At 4-16, the Knicks are off to the worst 20-game start in franchise history.
5. Damian Lillard scored 23 points and LaMarcus Aldridge posted 18 points and 13 rebounds to give the Portland Trail Blazers a narrow 88-82 win against the Indiana Pacers. Solomon Hill posted 15 points and eight rebounds for Indiana, but the Pacers lost their third straight game.
Portland has won three in a row and 12 of its past 13 outings.
Bonus Fact: Cleveland is 4-1 when LeBron James has at least 10 assists and 6-6 when he doesn’t.
