The Charlotte Hornets – Lance Stephenson experiment may soon be coming to an end.
The Hornets have already begun exploring trade options for the shooting guard, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein. It’s unclear what any potential deals would look like, however, the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers, along with a possible return to the Indiana Pacers have all been rumored.
Stephenson signed a three-year, $27 million deal with the Hornets in the offseason after negotiations to re-sign with the Pacers fell flat. And after having a career year with Indiana, Stephenson has dropped his point productivity along with his minutes and field goal percentage.
Some NBA experts and fans were expecting the Hornets to be an elite team in the Eastern Conference after finishing in seventh place last year. But Charlotte has opened the season with a 6-17 record and sit only four seeds from the bottom.
With news of the unrest in Charlotte, fans and writers league-wide chimed in on the situation.
Some are excited:

Nets not interested according to sources. They’ve had enough bad experiences with knuckleheads. There is more of a chance that Nets would take back Andrey Blatche from China.
