The All-Star reserve selections were finally announced on Thursday and as expected, there were predictable picks to go with inevitable omissions.
The selected are as follows:
West: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan and James Harden.
East: Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague, Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
It happens every year, where plenty are unhappy about someone deserving not making it to the team.
The biggest omissions, of course, were in the West given the amount of talent in the conference with Damian Lillard and DeMarcus Cousins missing from the roster, although one of them looks to be picked as a replacement for the injured Kobe Bryant.
In the East, Kyle Korver may be picked as the fourth Atlanta Hawks player as a possible replacement for Wade, who is unlikely to play due to a hamstring injury.
NBA players around the league shared their joy and irritation on twitter about the selections and non-selections as they were announced:
Damm how didn’t @boogiecousins make it!? Or @Dame_Lillard
