The NBA All-Star break is nearly upon us, which means the trade deadline, February 19th, is soon approaching also. That has many teams either making moves or looking to make moves.
The most active team on Tuesday: The Minnesota Timberwolves.
It started this morning with Timberwolves part-owner, president and head coach Flip Saunders striking a deal with the Charlotte Bobcats.

The move gives Minnesota a reserve shooting guard and a future 2nd round pick. The decision wasn’t an easy one, as Saunders spoke fondly of Williams’ ability to help the young players on the team.
This was a difficult decision because of what Mo brought to our team and the impact he had on our young guys. As a coach, you wanted to keep him because of his professionalism and understanding of what you wanted out of him as a player. … On the other side, we knew we were moving in a different direction with our youth so we felt it was in our best interest to make the deal.”
Williams was very appreciative of the short-lived opportunity that he had in Minnesota.
Just want to say to the Twolves organization thank you. I really enjoyed my time here. My teammates and coaches all the way up to (1/2) — Mo Williams (@mowilliams) February 10, 2015
the owner was fantastic. I really appreciate it #goodluckinthefuture (2/2)

I was only here for half the season but this man rt here is a great man. I’ve had more conversations with him just about life itself more than anyone. He related situations in my life to his and we talked about it and he embraced that conversation. I would say this, I was proud to be a wolve. Good luck wolf pack, I’m on to my next chapter. However, Saunders wasn’t done. The Wolves pulled off a second trade on Tuesday.
