Advice here is free, and worth it. Last night’s sample lineup scored 319.5 fantasy points at DraftKings, resulting in a nifty 700% profit. Hope you took my suggestions and improved on them just a little to win even more. Big Wednesday sees a 10-game NBA slate that includes a couple of excellent matchups.
The Clippers are in Oklahoma City, against the amazing Russell Westbrook $12500, who’s averaging a triple-double over his last ten games. Chris Paul $10300 has a wonky knee and L.A. hasn’t scored 100 points in their last three, losing twice. Jamal Crawford (calf) will be out for a while and Blake Griffin (elbow) for at least three more games, so J.J. Redick $5700 and DeAndre Jordan $9000 are vitally important. Serge Ibaka $8000 and Enes Kanter $5800 are both playing well for the Thunder, who are barely clinging to the final playoff spot.

The second half of the national TV doubleheader has James Harden $10800 and the Rockets in Portland. Donatas Motiejunas $5300 and Trevor Ariza $5700 are the other starters to consider, with Corey Brewer $4100 intermittently hot off the bench. The Blazers had won five straight before allowing 121 points in Minnesota on Saturday. They are basically a four-man team for fantasy purposes: Damian Lillard $8200, LaMarcus Aldridge $9000, Nicolas Batum $6400 and newcomer Arron Afflalo $4500.
Those underdog Timberwolves might also surprise the Suns, if Ricky Rubio $8300 can bounce back from an off-night against the Clippers. Kevin Martin $5900 and Andrew Wiggins $6800 are also playable, Nikola Pekovic $4700 has a good matchup and Adreian Payne $4000 just played the best game of his young career. Phoenix relies mostly on Eric Bledsoe $7600 and Markieff Morris $5900; the latter was shut down by Golden State and Cleveland, making him due for a big game. Brandon Knight $5900 (ankle) is questionable; if he can’t go, T.J. Warren $3000 is a live longshot.
Another potentially high-scoring affair has Detroit, on a seven-game losing streak, visiting the Warriors. The Pistons have offensive weapons but this is a back-to-back and they don’t play much D. Stephen Curry $9800, Klay Thompson $7100 and Draymond Green $7400 can carve them up, and don’t sleep on Shaun Livingston $3900 if you need upside at a low price. Garbage time is anticipated.
Denver also allows a lot of points. While Ty Lawson $6900, Wilson Chandler $5500 and Kenneth Faried $6900 have been much more effective since the coaching change, they are no match for the high-flying Hawks, who scored 76 in the first half of Monday’s demolition of the Kings. The Atlanta big three of Al Horford $7500, Paul Millsap $7800 and Jeff Teague $7000 shared the rock with Kyle Korver $4900 and DeMarre Carroll $4900, who led the way with 20 each.
Sacramento began an 8-game road trip with a win in New York but have dropped four in a row since then. The Hornets had won five straight before their worst game of the year, a 95-69 shellacking at home, where they scored 23 points in the entire second half. Mo Williams $7600 and Al Jefferson $7600 are the only reliable Hornets; DeMarcus Cousins $9700 and Rudy Gay $7600 usually carry the Kings.
It’s a road back-to-back for the Magic and a chance for the Bucks to improve on a 2-7 slide. Michael Carter-Williams $6500, Giannis Antetokounmpo $6900 and Khris Middleton $6300 are the best plays in a game where defence may not be a priority.
The Grizzlies should win in Boston, and the Bulls are much better than the 76ers. Neither game is expected to produce a lot of points and there’s a risk of garbage time in both. Use the stars — like both Gasol brothers — with caution. I do like Jeff Green $5000 in his first game against his former team.
Brooklyn at Miami will be a playoff-like atmosphere (Leastern Conference version) between two of the five teams “battling” with sub-.500 records for seventh and eighth place. Hassan Whiteside (suspension) is out, Goran Dragic $6500 (back) is still questionable and with Chris Andersen $3200 (ankle) also hobbling, we may see more of SF Michael Beasley $4100 — at center. Mario Chalmers $4400 is a bargain if Dragic doesn’t go. It’s a back-to-back for the Nets after losing at home, so this may not be pretty, but Brook Lopez $6100 could be unstoppable inside.
