Every fan of LeBron James, whether living in northeast Ohio, South Florida or anywhere else on the planet, has reason to rejoice.
No, not only because the NBA playoffs are right around the corner and James (along with the Cavs) is about to embark on his quest to bring Cleveland its first pro sports championship since 1964. That story line will keep all of us engaged as the weather turns warmer and the days get longer.
But all of us now have the chance to spend some time during those warmer, longer days kicking back and reading a good book. And there is an especially good book that has just been released by Clerisy Press, The Redemption of the King, by Vince McKee. (Follow him on Twitter).
This is not Vince’s first book, as he also wrote “Cleveland’s Finest,” but this is a book that will fly off the shelves — be they bookstore shelves, or those monster shelves at the Amazon.com warehouse.
We will be publishing excerpts from “The Redemption of the King” over the next five days, and here is a bit of a preview courtesy of the TheSportsFix, a staple of the Cleveland sports scene.
