Chris Paul suffered the wrath of the internet and twitter this week after an unpleasant night of trying to guard Stephen Curry on Tuesday.
The good thing about the NBA, though, is that there is always another game to play the following night or soon after, and Paul took full advantage of this on Wednesday when he took his anger out on the Portland Trail Blazers with 41 points (on 13-of-21 shooting from the field), five rebounds, 17 assists, four steals and one turnover.
Not that he had a bad game against the Golden State Warriors statistically (27 points, nine assists), but talk about a redemption – against a team they were tied in the standings with, no less. Paul was simply incredible, and his play helped them come up with a 126-122 victory on the road.
He did run into an incident with Chris Kaman during the contest when the big man gave him a bit of a shove in the back after a rebound. Paul fell over, and in came Glen “Big Baby” Davis to defend his point guard. Except not really, if you take a look at the following clip:
Draymond Green, who seems to have gotten into a bit of a habit of taking shots at Clippers players this season, saw the play and had the following reaction:
