There’s only one NBA game on Monday, not originally scheduled. The Blazers are in Brooklyn to make up for the Jan. 26 blizzard cancellation. LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum and Chris Kaman did not even make the trip.
DraftKings is offering contests that include the two earliest starts on Tuesday night. One of those could be a fantasy goldmine. Enter by 7:00 this evening; you can always make lineup changes involving any player whose game hasn’t started.
Still not playing at DK? They match your first deposit 100% (up to $600) with bonus funds that convert to cash, plus you get plus you get a FREE entry in the $15K Sharpshooter at 6:00 ET — the top score earns $1,000 and 1,160 of 5,750 teams win cash. Or redeem your FREE entry in the $10K Crossover, normally a $27 buy-in. That contest has 85 cash prizes ($2,000 for first) and a maximum of only 420 teams.
Robin Lopez $4400 will have a tough time stopping Brook Lopez $8000; using both is an intriguing possibility. This is also a good matchup for Thaddeus Young $5700, as Meyers Leonard $3000 and Joel Freeland $3000 will see plenty of minutes. C.J. McCollum $3200 remains a value play, and Damian Lillard $7600 might take matters into his own hands.
The Nets have more incentive but this is their fifth game in seven nights, so fatigue may be a factor. Deron Williams $6600 costs more after excellent games on Wednesday and Friday. In a 32-point blowout loss in Atlanta on Saturday, only Bojan Bogdanovic $3400 played well. Joe Johnson $5900 and Arron Afflalo $4100 are both reasonably priced at SG.
One of the Tuesday gamesis like a demolition derby. Parts keep falling off Charlotte and Miami as they try to stave off playoff elimination. Al Jefferson (knee) was replaced by Bismack Biyombo (nose) and all of a sudden Noah Vonleh $3000 will be in the rotation. With Hassan Whiteside $7100 (hand) and Chris Andersen (foot) questionable, Udonis Haslem $4500 is a critical component. Dwyane Wade $6800 (knee) is likely to do most of the Heat’s scoring, though Goran Dragic $6600 looked a bit more mobile on the weekend. How he covers Kemba Walker $7800 could decide a low-scoring battle.
Far more interesting for DFS play, Atlanta hosts Phoenix. Paul Millsap $6900 (shoulder) is doubtful and none of the other starters saw more than 27 minutes as the Hawks romped on Saturday. Jeff Teague $5800, Al Horford $6000 and DeMarre Carroll $5500 are being kept fresh for the postseason; they will play longer tonight if the Suns keep it close. Eric Bledsoe $7600, Markieff Morris $6000, Brandan Wright $5200 and P.J. Tucker $5000 are decent value; the other starter is Marcus Morris $5400, who can surprise. T.J. Warren $3500 had been hot off the bench for a few games, but it was Gerald Green $3400 whose 24 points sparked a big win at home on Saturday.
