With a myriad of injuries and a questionable roster, the Los Angeles Lakers had the fourth-worst record (21-61) in the entire league during the regular season.
On Tuesday, all the losing paid off, as the team managed to take the No. 2 spot in the upcoming 2015 NBA Draft. Luckily, the Lakers can now retain their pick instead of having to fork it up to the Philadelphia 76ers – part of the conditional agreement made during the Steve Nash trade.
Kobe Bryant, who had a rough season both in terms of performance on the court and suffering another season ending injury, saw the results and appeared to be quite satisfied:
We played like crap all season so it’s only right we get the #2 pick HA #lakerluck #goodday
