Scotto: NBA Draft Stocks of Christmas, Vaughn on the Rise
The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for the start of the NBA Finals, but 28 other teams already are evaluating their ever-changing draft boards. Sheridan Hoops has done three mock drafts thus far and probably will do at least three more. Why? Because players can help or hurt themselves with their performances at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago and in team workouts. Four players who have improved their stock considerably are Richaun Holmes, Rakeem Christmas, Jordan Mickey and
Tweet of the Night: Damian Lillard finds Chris Kaman’s doppelgänger
Did Portland Trail Blazers center Chris Kaman make a cameo appearance as a cameraman during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals? With the Golden State Warriors taking on the Houston Rockets in what would turn out to be a series-ending contest on Wednesday, most eyes were focused on Stephen Curry and company. Damian Lillard, however, noticed something else on the side, as you can see below: [Read more…]
PODCAST: Cavs in 7, a.k.a “Don’t Bet Against LeBron”
Rule of thumb: Don’t bet against LeBron James. Yes, the Golden State Warriors have three players who can defend him: Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala. Yes, the Golden State Warriors have the reigning MVP in Stephen Curry. Yes, the Warriors are healthier. Lacob had failed to deliver on some bold promises at that point, and – coupled with the trade of local favorite Monta Ellis – he made for a convenient target at the time.’ A lot has changed in the Bay Area in the three years since, as anyone at Game 5 of the
Fantasy Spin: From The Hardwood To The Diamond
Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors as their dream season continues. There’s an entire week off before they face the Cleveland LeBrons for the championship. Yes, this is a basketball site. However, with hoops contests at DraftKings over for this season, the fantasy corner is switching to baseball. [Read more…]
NBA players react to Golden State Warriors’ victory over the Houston Rockets in Western Conference Finals
After a 40-year absence, the Golden State Warriors are finally headed back to the NBA Finals after ending the Houston Rockets season with a 104-90 victory on Wednesday to win the series 4-1. It was a grueling, physical game throughout and none of the stars played particularly well – Stephen Curry had 26 points but shot seven-of-21 from the field and James Harden had a nightmare game with 14 points on two-of-11 shooting from the field to go with an NBA playoffs
