Tonight features a full slate of 15 MLB games. Max Scherzer $12000 vs. Masahiro Tanaka $10400 at Yankee Stadium isn’t quite as dramatic as Game Three of the NBA Finals but it’s as good as regular-season baseball gets.
There’s pitching galore. Corey Kluber $10900 is at home against the slumping Mariners and Sonny Gray $10100 takes on the Rangers for the third time this year, off a fabulous start in Detroit. Both are expected to shine.
Dallas Keuchel $9100 vs. Carlos Rodon $5700 may not be as one-sided as those salaries suggest. The highly-regarded White Sox rookie struck out ten on Thursday and pitched well against the Astros in Houston on May 29.
DraftKings matches your first deposit 100% (up to $600) with bonus funds that convert to cash. You’ll also get a FREE entry into the $20K Moonshot, which offers 1,540 cash prizes — $2,000 for first — and a maximum of 7,666 teams.
An even better rookie (so far) is Eduardo Rodriguez $7100. We gave him to you at $5200 (32.3 FPTS) and doubled down at $5700 (29.4 FPTS) so the raise is well-deserved. The 22-year-old lefty is a mystery to the Orioles and should make it three straight quality starts.
There’s an apparent mismatch between Francisco Liriano $9700 and Taylor Jungmann $4000, an emergency callup who hasn’t exactly been lights-out in Triple-A. The Pirates’ bats should provide plenty of support.
Michael Wacha $7400 might be good enough to stifle the Rockies at Coors Field, Noah Syndergaard $8700 can bounce back from his first rough outing but we only need two SP. I’ve narrowed it down to Rodriguez with Gray, Kluber or Liriano, which leaves enough for a respectable batting order.
C Russell Martin $3800 and all the Blue Jays are hot, Francisco Cervelli $3500 is on a roll and one of these nights Yan Gomes $3100 will explode.
Paul Goldschmidt $5900 is getting pitched around and there are other 1B options with promising matchups, like Joey Votto $5000, Miguel Cabrera $4600 and Lucas Duda $4400. Bargain-hunters can try Pedro Alvarez $3500.
At 2B there are six quality guys who cost $4400 or more but I’m content with Howie Kendrick $3900 or Neil Walker $3700, who each had three hits last night and are at home against a relatively easy pitcher.
It’s become a habit to plug in Josh Donaldson $5500 every day, at any price. Miggy is also 3B-eligible and you can save a few bucks with Mike Moustakas $3900 or Alvarez.
Troy Tulowitzki $5500 is due to cool off a little. While his .452/.500/.882 slash line over ten games has been profitable, we’re hoping to get some production elsewhere, cheap. Mike Aviles $3100 hits lefties well, Zach Cozart $3400 had a huge Monday and Jose Reyes $4700 is hot.
Jose Bautista $5700 and Giancarlo Stanton $5200 are both worth the money in the outfield. Andrew McCutchen $5300 rested last night and should be refreshed. There are always a number of reasonably- priced OF, with Yoenis Cespedes $4100 particularly sharp. Usually a bargain, Chris Colabello $3300 is on an 18-game hit streak. One of the more interesting platoon specialists in baseball, Ryan Raburn $2600 often excels vs. southpaws.
