We’re back to a full slate of 15 MLB games on Tuesday, all of them included in DFS contests at DraftKings that close at 7:05 Eastern.
If you prefer smaller player pools, there’s Turbo action at 8:05 spanning just five games, with Zack Greinke $10500 the pitching standout. Only three games are in play at 10:05 when Late contests close. Madison Bumgarner $11200 is the #1 SP there.
Joining them in earlier starts are David Price $11600 and Danny Salazar $9300, who square off in Cleveland. Chris Archer $9800 would be easier to back against many other teams than the Blue Jays. Though any of the above might pay his way or more, I’m shopping for value.
Jesse Chavez $6600 struck out a career-high 11 last Wednesday and should remain sharp in Texas. Jeff Locke $6200 was also effective in his latest, and talented youngster Carlos Martinez $8300 is unfamiliar to most of the Marlins.
DK matches your first deposit 100% (up to $600) with bonus funds that convert to cash. You also get a FREE entry into the $110K Moonshot, with 8,421 guaranteed cash prizes — $10,000 for first — and a maximum of 42,146 teams.
Teams that could put up crooked numbers include the Yankees at home (weather permitting) off Sean O’Sullivan $4400, the Orioles against Joe Kelly $5200 in Boston and both the Rockies and Diamondbacks at Coors Field.
At C, Yasmani Grandal $4200 might be a better choice than Brian McCann $4800 at those salaries and after an off day, Matt Wieters $4300 should start again.
Mighty Paul Goldschmidt $6000 is deservedly the top-priced hitter on the board at any position. 1B has more affordable options like Chris Davis $4700 and Adrian Gonzalez $4600 but the best value might be Brandon Belt $3700 at home against a hittable righty.
Dee Gordon $4600 is the pick at 2B, though Kolten Wong $4300 has a nice matchup and 2B/3B Jimmy Paredes $4400 seems to be heating up again.
At third Manny Machado $5500 is not going to be underpriced for a while. Nolan Arenado $5000 loves home cooking and the Pirates get to face a 27-year-old callup in his big league-debut, so 3B/OF Josh Harrison $3900 is worth considering.
Troy Tulowitzki $4800 is the clear #1 SS, Jhonny Peralta $4300 has a good matchup and 2B/SS Cesar Hernandez $2500 might stay hot after a big night in Yankee Stadium; the switch-hitter prefers southpaws.
Among OF, Charlie Blackmon $5100 keeps producing and Brett Gardner $4600 is absolutely unconscious. George Springer $4700 faces yet another lefty and there are several good candidates who are more affordable. Travis Snider $3800 is coming around, Marlon Byrd $3700 gets a favorable matchup but the low price on Andrew McCutchen $4200 is hard to resist.
