It’s no surprise if you follow Dwight Howard, but the Houston Rockets’ veteran center very much enjoys having fun in his spare offseason time.
While his younger teammates were in Las Vegas this weekend to take in Summer League action, the 29-year-old Howard instead traveled to San Diego to check out Comic-Con in full costume, along with the likes of Mike Tyson and a celebrity dog.

The 8-time NBA All-Star says he made his own costume (as Predator) and that it took a week to create. It even had a cooling fan inside his helmet.
“I love to dress up and have a good time,” Howard said on a YouTube video from Marvel Entertainment. “This was the one that I felt was gonna get, like, the most pop.”
Full videos are on Howard’s Instagram. Though he missed 41 regular-season games last year with ongoing knee troubles, Howard responded with a dominant playoff run (16.4 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.3 blocks per game) in leading the Rockets to their first Western Conference Finals berth since 1997.
