With Rio 2016 Olympics coming next year, USA Basketball is slowly but surely preparing to form one of the most devastating rosters basketball has ever seen. Plenty of superstars have been in attendance over the past week to do various drills and activities, as the coaches and executives try to figure out who belongs on the team next year.
Of course, most of the players who got to play during the Team USA Showcase on Thursday are unlikely to make the official 12-man roster. Still, they were ready to put on a show and did just that by scoring a combined 262 points between the two teams.
Michael Carter-Williams, who had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists as the starting point guard on the White team, managed to be a part of some spectacular highlights. Unfortunately, one of them included being a part of Victor Oladipo’s poster:
Still, it was an incredible experience for the young guard who is still trying to make his mark in the league, and he had nothing but great things to say after the entertaining contest:
I had a great experience! Learned so much thank you @usabasketball and most important great win for the the white squad ????????
