The start of the NBA season is a wonderful thing and everyone is thrilled to get things going.
Until the first serious injury happens and everyone gets bummed out as a result.
Players suffer injuries every year, be it minor or devastating. From the 13th man to the best player on any given team, it’s simply unavoidable. Paul George was out for most of last season before the season had even started, Kevin Durant suffered a foot injury that derailed his team’s season, Kobe Bryant has constantly dealt with serious injuries over the past few seasons, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving both had their seasons cut short in the playoffs and the list goes on and on.
Still, you cross your fingers and simply hope for the best. Or pray, as Brandon Jennings did on Tuesday:
God all I ask is that everybody be healthy this year. So we can really see who the top 10 players in the league is. That’s all ????????

Jennings has been dealing with a serious injury himself since rupturing his Achilles tendon last season, but the point guard hopes to be back before Christmas.
