With their record standing at 15-0, the Golden State Warriors are on the verge of setting a new record for the best start in NBA history when they face the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
So can they pull it off?
The odds are overwhelmingly in their favor to do so, but the Lakers do have this on their side: they managed to beat Golden State, which went into the game with a 23-3 record – last season at the Staples Center despite being classified as a terrible team at that point.
The difference is that Tuesday’s game will be played at the Oracle Arena, where the Warriors were an astounding 39-2 last season, and of course, undefeated this season. Knowing what is likely going to happen, Magic Johnson had this to say to his fellow Lakers Nation:
Laker Nation, our Lakers are used to setting records on teams, tomorrow the Warriors will set the record for the best start in NBA history.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are just 2-11 this season, have the third-worst defensive rating in the league, are set to let the struggling rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell guard MVP-favorite Stephen Curry, and will probably watch the already-awful Kobe Bryant be even worse than his already-awful self.
Assuming you haven’t already converted over to Warriors World, best of luck, Lakers Nation.
