The Utah Jazz suffered a tough overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, and things only got worse when they were forced to face the San Antonio Spurs away from home on Monday.
Finishing their 5th game in seven nights, the Jazz were clearly fatigued and had little fight left against the Spurs, who remained undefeated at home with a 13-0 record and led by as many as 46 points in the lopsided contest.
After starting the season 8-7, Utah has dropped six of its last eight games and are 2-4 since losing Rudy Gobert to a knee injury. The center has been positive and encouraging throughout the process but decided to share his frustration with the team’s current situation with him out of the lineup:
Tough to watch my boys from the sideline every night! Tough week but we have a more important one coming up with 3 home games. #letsgo
— Rudy Gobert (@rudygobert27) December 15, 2015
With the way the Jazz have struggled in recent weeks, Gobert can’t return to action soon enough.
