As a fan, it’s a wonderful experience to be able to sit courtside to see NBA players up close. Every so often, though, a player may be coming at you full speed to chase after a loose ball and that’s when your life may flash before your eyes depending on who that player is.
For star golfer Jason Day’s wife, that player happened to be LeBron James, who jumped right into her while chasing after the ball during Thursday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on TNT.
The result? Ellie Day ended up getting carried off on a stretcher after hitting the back of her head on the floor.
It was an unfortunate situation for all involved, but Day indicated to James that she would be okay. You can read full details about her condition here. After the contest, James took the time to apologize to her for the incident on twitter:
Ellie Day I hope you’re doing okay! My apologies! Hope u guys come back to another game soon. Love LJ!
