The NBA and its family collectively grieved over the tragic loss of Ingrid Williams late last week and the mourning continued on Thursday at her funeral, where her husband Monty Williams touched viewers with an emotional, moving speech that few would have been able to provide in his shoes:
Forgiving is no easy task when someone is responsible for the death of a loved one, but Williams’ display of faith and purity proved to be powerful for many around the league:
I know a lot of people seen the @NBAonTNT with Monty Williams. I played with him my first year in the league.

He showed character & faith, unshakable faith which we should all look to. Thank you for inspiring people even when you’re broken.

There is a bigger plan at stake. Which is heaven. We all fall short everyday and no one’s perfect. I send a prayer to both families.
