The stars are out on a 10-game NBA Wednesday, with the point guard spot particularly loaded. Kyle Lowry $8500, who triple-doubled on Monday, ranks only fifth on the salary list for his position. Stephen Curry $10500 scored 36 in Atlanta on Monday and might cool off Goran Dragic $6400. Though the Warriors should win, a focused Hassan Whiteside $7600 is recommended for the third straight game.
Russell Westbrook $11000 and Kevin Durant $9800 hit the road after two straight home losses. Choosing among KD, LeBron James $9600 and Paul George $8600 at SF is almost as difficult as deciding on a PG. As determined as the Thunder will be, the Mavericks are well rested and affordable, with Chandler Parsons $6400, Dirk Nowitzki $6100 and Wesley Matthews $4500 worth considering.

The $200K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in (FREE with your initial deposit at DraftKings) where the top 17,775 finishers (from up to 76,666 teams) win cash. First place earns $10,000. The deadline is 7:00 EST; enter early and make lineup changes until each player’s game begins.
The Clippers should have no trouble with Denver. Chris Paul $9700 and DeAndre Jordan $7800 are usually worth the money and the possible upside play is Jeff Green $5100 as he gets more familiar with the system and his new role. The Nuggets had eight players score in double figures last night, still lost at home and will have easier matchups.
Center is another deep position, with Whiteside, Jordan and Karl-Anthony Towns $8800 excellent choices. Andre Drummond $8000 double-doubles every night and has an ideal matchup with the Tank City 76ers, who have allowed an average of 122 points in their last four losses. Reggie Jackson $6700 and Tobias Harris $6000 should also thrive.
DeMarcus Cousins $10900 paid his way with 39 points in last night’s road win, but a back-to-back against the Spurs won’t be easy for Boogie or any of his teammates. Other PF to target include Draymond Green $8700, Kevin Love $7400 and Zach Randolph $6900, as the Grizzlies host the hapless Lakers. Z-Bo is the starting center now, combining with Mile Conley $6900 in a two-man attack.
Klay Thompson $7700 and DeMar DeRozan $7300 top the SG list. It’s tempting to save money there with Matthews, E’Twaun Moore $5400 or Danny Green $4800. I’m expecting both of Toronto’s All-Star guards to excel, as the Timberwolves big men have an advantage. Cory Joseph $4200 helps when the Raptors go small.
In a cruel twist of the schedule, the Wizards must play their fifth game in the six nights since the break. To their credit, they have won three of four, and John Wall $9300 triple-doubled last night, but he’s only human and the Bulls have been relaxing at home since an easy win on Sunday. While Derrick Rose $7500 has been sharp, Pau Gasol $8600 (illness) may not be 100%, which means Taj Gibson $4900 and Bobby Portis $4700 could be prominent.
Cleveland is an 8-point pick at home over Charlotte, but the Hornets have won five straight and seven of eight, including an upset over the Cavs on February 3 when Kemba Walker $8200 and Al Jefferson $5100 didn’t play. Big Al says his surgically-repaired knee is pain-free and his inside presence will help Walker, Nicolas Batum $7200 and Jeremy Lin $4600 spread the floor.
In order to load up with expensive superstars, it helps to uncover ultra-cheap players with upside. Memphis has three; Brandan Wright $3200 is getting back to full strength after missing over two months with a knee injury, Vince Carter $3300 seems rejuvenated and based on one game, the change of scenery may have helped Lance Stephenson $3400.
We’re going with a more balanced approach in today’s sample lineup, except for the punt play at SF. As always, breaking news about just one player can alter the values of several others, so it helps to stay well-informed.
