The incredible Stephen Curry made an MVP shot to win one of the best NBA games of this season and many others. My guy Kevin Durant was superb until fouling out in the first minute of overtime. None of Sunday’s action is nearly as interesting but it’s a brand new DFS season.
The Cavaliers are in Washington at 1:00 Eastern, when DraftKings offers All-Day contests (seven games) and Early (two games.) Next up are Turbo contests (four games) closing at 3:30 that cover the Hornets in Atlanta and the three 6:00 starts. Each is a unique player pool with its own handicapping challenges and opportunities to win. Our feature event spans the five evening games.
Karl-Anthony Towns $8600 and Gorgui Dieng $6800 took advantage when Anthony Davis (toe) was scratched and the Timberwolves rallied to edge the short-handed Pelicans. Zach LaVine $5300 had the night I was expecting from Andrew Wiggins $6300. All the youngsters played huge minutes and tonight face some crafty veterans. Dirk Nowitzki $6500 is in a groove, Chandler Parsons $6300 looks great and Wesley Matthews $4600 has drained 12 threes this week. On Friday, newcomer David Lee $3500 double-doubled in 25 minutes, taking over from a benched Zaza Pachulia $3500.

The $175K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in (FREE with your initial deposit at DraftKings) where the top 13,475 finishers (from up to 67,081 teams) win cash. First place earns $12,000. The deadline is 6:00 EST; enter early and make lineup changes until each player’s game begins.
We loved the Pistons yesterday as all five starters scored 12+ points, with Andre Drummond $8200 and Reggie Jackson $6800 leading the way. Marcus Morris $5500 was better value than Tobias Harris $6400 for once. Raptors fans will flood the Palace (again) and make this a “home” game for Kyle Lowry $8600, whose 43-point masterpiece beat Cleveland on Friday. DeMar DeRozan $7300 (illness) shot 1-for-11 and had to leave the court; he may not be 100%. Jonas Valanciunas $5700 and Bismack Biyombo $4000 are a tag-team vs. Drummond. Assuming Toronto plays small, Cory Joseph $4200 and Terrence Ross $3800 are interesting.
Damian Lillard $9600 was typically brilliant in a road victory over the depleted Bulls, but Portland faces a more difficult task tonight. The Pacers lost a close one on Friday despite 32 points from Paul George $8700. Rookie Myles Turner $6000 has a good matchup and Monta Ellis $5900 will try to outscore C.J. McCollum $7500. Both centers are excellent value; Ian Mahinmi $5000 wins a tossup with Mason Plumlee $5000 for me.
On Tuesday in Philadelphia, Nikola Vucevic $7900 scored 35 points and the Magic won 124-115. There’s no reason to expect a different result in Orlando. Victor Oladipo $7100 and Evan Fournier $6000 also feasted on the Sixers, who could be shorthanded. Nerlens Noel $6200 (leg) left Friday’s game with under 2:00 to play. If he’s ruled out, Jerami Grant $4300 will gain minutes and Nik Stauskas $3600 might get a few extra shots.
Joe Johnson is not in the DK player pool for his Heat debut but could affect the fantasy values of Goran Dragic $6400, Dwyane Wade $7000 and Luol Deng $6400. A tough loss in Boston last night is another consideration, even for Hassan Whiteside $8000, who was stellar for the fourth straight game. Ultra-cheap Josh Richardson $3300 keeps improving as the backup PG. If Robin Lopez $5600 contains Whiteside, Carmelo Anthony $8400 and/or Kristaps Porzingis $6600 could go off.
