Kobe Bryant $5300 (shoulder) and Jordan Clarkson $5700 (knee) are questionable; L.A. managed just 77 points on Friday without them as D’Angelo Russell $6500 had a rough night. Julius Randle $6100 and Brandon Bass $3600 are the safest options.

Raptors fans are excited about Kyle Lowry $8800 and DeMar DeRozan $7600 taking on James Harden $10500, whose 36 points were not enough last night in Chicago. Dwight Howard $7900 vs. Jonas Valanciunas $5100 is a good test for the youngster. Corey Brewer $3600 and Trevor Ariza $6000 are the other Rockets to consider. Toronto rookie Norman Powell $3000, effective in a surprise start on Friday, could be a factor until DeMarre Carroll (knee) returns.

The injury-plagued Sixers are completely overmatched in Miami. Hassan Whiteside $8400 had 19 points and 19 rebounds on Friday in Philadelphia and Goran Dragic $7000 is in peak form. Dwyane Wade $7200 and Luol Deng $5900 are also affordable, while Amare Stoudemire $3700 and Josh Richardson $3600 often pay their way. Ish Smith $6400, Robert Covington $5700, Jerami Grant $5100 and Hollis Thompson $3600 will try to keep it respectable.

I gave the Suns no chance in Orlando on Friday and they won by 18, with Alex Len $6100 scoring a career-high 31 and Devin Booker $4800 staying hot. That followed 17 straight road losses, so they are extreme underdogs in Memphis. Zach Randolph $6500 and Mike Conley $6700 lead the Grizzlies, with Chris Andersen $3300 now starting at center. Mario Chalmers $4300 and Lance Stephenson $4000 are playing very well off the bench.

Dallas should beat Denver and the score could be high. Chandler Parsons $6800, Dirk Nowitzki $6200 and Deron Williams $5600 will play more minutes if the Nuggets keep it close. David Lee $4600 has become a featured bench player. Emmanuel Mudiay $5700, Kenneth Faried $6000, Gary Harris $4700 and Nikola Jokic $5800 all played well in Friday’s loss to the Nets in overtime.

The way the Pistons played in New York last night, especially Reggie Jackson $6600, they are in trouble against Damian Lillard $9200 and the Blazers. C.J. McCollum $6900 and Gerald Henderson $3600 are playable but the bigs are inconsistent. Andre Drummond $7700 and Tobias Harris $6200 are the best bets for Detroit.

With much respect for all four superstars and their well-deserved 5-digit salaries, we’re aiming for balance today in the sample lineup. Building around Lowry, Whiteside and three solid midrange guys leaves enough to get bargains with upside.
