We’re certainly not ignoring daily fantasy hoops, but DraftKings is also paying out millions of dollars in guaranteed cash prizes on PGA contests — someone will win a million bucks for $20 in a $4M Masters pool that closes April 7 — and baseball is coming soon.
Many NBA superstars will shine brightly in nine Wednesday games. Six players have salaries of $10000 or more and we’re keying on a seventh. LeBron James $9500 and the Cavaliers were tired in Tuesday’s road loss but are back home and ready for the Mavericks.

The $100K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in (FREE with your initial deposit at DraftKings) where the top 7,850 finishers (from up to 38,315 teams) win cash. First place earns $10,000. The deadline is 7:00 EST; enter early and make lineup changes until each player’s game begins.
PG is ridiculously deep. It’s difficult to choose among Russell Westbrook $10500, Stephen Curry $10400 and Chris Paul $9600 at the top end. Isaiah Thomas $7300 is one od several midrange options and with others hurt in Orlando, Brandon Jennings $3700 stepped up on Tuesday (12 PTS, 11 AST.)
James Harden $10200 is always the top-ranked SG but Jimmy Butler $8100 is back, Nicolas Batum $7500 is even more affordable and if Dallas goes small again, Raymond Felton $3900 will start.
At SF, it’s between LBJ and Kevin Durant $10300 if you can afford either of them. Chandler Parsons $6400 was successful in his debut as a stretch-four. Not sure where Thabo Sefolosha $3300 found his shot; he scored 25 points in 24 hours as the Hawks won both weekend games.
DeMarcus Cousins $10500 and Anthony Davis $10000 are a high-priced tossup at PF. It’s a back-to-back for the Kings and Boogie was relatively quiet last night, while the Pelicans have a brutal matchup at Golden State. I’m inclined to use one (or two) of the cheaper options like Taj Gibson $4900, Nikola Mirotic $5000 and David Lee $4900.
Center is another position where we can save some cap room. Karl-Anthony Towns $8100 is great and Dwight Howard $7800 vs. DeAndre Jordan $7400 will be exciting to watch, but Jared Sullinger $6000 provides solid value and lately Marreese Speights $3600 has been productive off the Warriors’ bench.
Today’s sample lineup builds around two studs and two medium-priced guys, which still forces us to hunt for bargains at four positions.
