As the NBA regular season winds down, we’re turning our attention to other sports for daily fantasy fun and profit. Major League Baseball begins on Sunday with a three-game slate.
You can already enter Monday’s $300K Moonshot, with over 23,000 cash prizes ($20K to first.) The $3 entry fee is waived for new signups. Closers don’t matter in DraftKings hardball; simply pick two pitchers and eight hitters within the $50K salary cap. I’m keying on Marcus Stroman $9300 and Francisco Liriano $9300 tomorrow, then stacking Mets bats.
Win $1,000,000 On The Masters
On April 7, someone will become a millionaire for a $20 buy-in. The $4M Fantasy Golf Millionaire isn’t all-or-nothing; the remaining $3,000,000 will be paid out to more than 48,000 other winners. Draft six golfers for $50K or less, who earn points throughout the Masters for birdies, eagles, overall finish and more. Enter now and adjust your lineup until the deadline on Thursday morning at 6:00 a.m. Eastern.
The $15K Sharpshooter is our NBA feature. The $3 entry fee is free with your initial deposit of $5 or more, and you could win up to $1,000 cash. That’s a Turbo contest at 8:00 ET, on only two of the five games.
The banged-up Bulls somehow pulled out a victory in Houston on Thursday to stay alive, while the Pistons lost a tough one at home last night, despite Marcus Morris $5300 having a tremendous game (31 PTS, 12 REB, 4 AST.) In another must-win for Chicago, Jimmy Butler $7300, Nikola Mirotic $5200 and Doug McDermott $3300 are attractively priced.
Portland has won three straight on this home stand; Miami had to play in Sacramento last night. Dwyane Wade $7100 (neck) sat out and Gerald Green $3000 scored 30 points in a spot start. We went to the Hassan Whiteside $8800 well once too often, as he scored just six points in 30 minutes. Damian Lillard $8500 and C.J. McCollum $6600 lead the Blazers as always.
Sacramento at Denver is one of those “who cares?” games in real life. Well-rested after serving his one-game suspension, DeMarcus Cousins $10100 is a solid DFS investment. With Rajon Rondo (rest) out, Darren Collison $5400 and Seth Curry $3200 should pay their way.
It’s hard to imagine the Pacers losing a big game in Philadelphia. Whether Paul George $8700 has to play huge minutes is up to the Sixers; I prefer Ian Mahinmi $4900 against undersized Carl Landry $4400.
The Raptors had to grind out a victory in Memphis on Friday and might rest some key players in San Antonio. With the Warriors’ 54-game home winning streak snapped last night, the Spurs can become the first team to finish a season perfect at home, although their final two opponents (Golden State and Oklahoma City) present quite a challenge.
